Toronto

CityPlace is one of the newer neighbourhoods to be welcomed into the city of Toronto along the Waterfront. What It's Like

What to Expect: Convenience. CityPlace is located close to the best entertainment Toronto has to offer. It is also commutable to other areas of the city, since there are streetcars, trains, and buses running through, and Union Station is very close. The Gardiner Expressway and Lakeshore Boulevard are right there, for very easy highway access. Adults and kids are happy to have a library, outdoor space, and the Waterfront  for trips to the Toronto Islands. CityPlace is already a community, with a Farmer’s Market and movie nights at Canoe Landing Park. Metro News declared CityPlace “a community in the sky,” that has quickly become a “vibrant and diverse community.”  What NOT to Expect: Single-family homes. CityPlace is a downtown neighbourhood with all the amenities condo life offers, combined with community events and local businesses. A Day in the Life: Start your day with water views from your condo. Walk to Cafe 66 for a hot coffee, and drink it across the street at Canoe Landing Park. Knit a hat for your niece at a Jumblies Theatre workshop. Meet friends there and head to the Rogers Centre for the baseball game. Cheer on your Toronto Blue Jays with a crowd of excited people from all over the city. Home run! Then, get a tasty Japanese dinner at Mi-Ne Sushi, followed by desert crepes at the cafe. Get a round of drinks at the bar with some neighbours before walking home. End the day in your new Cityplace condo as it began, with beautiful views of the water.  In Summary: CityPlace is a relatively new neighbourhood in Toronto that has quickly become a convenient and entertaining community to call home by the Waterfront.

The Neighbourhood

Are working age professionals, and younger families. CityPlace real estate is a condo buyers dream. High rise condo towers with great amenities are also the majority of residences in the area. Anyone who works in downtown Toronto is eager to live where what they need is so close. Local Insight: “I love jogging to the Red Canoe after work. Dog walkers and kids are always around, taking pictures and enjoying the park.”

The entertainment venues. Other than the CN Tower, ACC, and Rogers Centre, the area also is home to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Ripley’s Aquarium, and Steam Whistle Brewery.
